This blog is a sub-blog of Shoestring Graphics, and it is devoted entirely to giving away free photos.
I love to take photos, and instead of just having them sit on my hard drive, I decided to share them.
Often, when you see an offer for free photos, they are not completely free, but royalty-free. This means that you pay for them, but then you can use them without paying royalties every time you use them. Not completely free, but a good deal all the same.
My photos do have a licence, which you can read here, but in a nutshell, they are not only royalty-free, but just plain free. If you want to download several, or even all of my photos, you can do so. You do not even have to sign up for my newsletter, but of course you’re cordially invited to do so. If you prefer not to sign up, you can download any of my photos in a 600-pixel-wide format. (Because of cropping, the height will vary).
But for those who do decide to join as free members of this site, you will have access to an even more generous 1000-pixel width. You will become members not only of this blog, but of the whole Shoestring Graphics site. You will not be flooded with emails, but there will be an occasional gift, as well as alerts about free stuff or special offers concerning graphics software or other related things of interest, and notifications when additional photos are added to this blog. As an example, see this page on the main site.
To sign up, just fill out the form on this page.
This is a collection of what I consider to be my best photos. Some categories have more pictures than others, mountains, for example, because I live in a beautiful area in the South of France on the western edge of the beginning of the Alps. The town where I live, Die (pronounced “dee”) is in a valley overlooked by a magnificent mountain/cliff called Glandasse. When the sun sets on Glandasse… well, you’ll just have to look at the pictures!
Although the above sizes should cover your on-screen needs, if you are interested in a higher definition for printing purposes, there will be a charge. You can reach me through the contact form.
I’m really interested in your feedback, and I’d love to hear about it if you use them. The comment section is there for that, but due to the large number of spam comments, it is moderated, so comments will not show immediately.
For navigation, there is a Browse category where the pictures are presented randomly, but they are also organized into categories, if you’re looking for something in particular. Between the categories, the breadcrumbs, the tags and the search box, you will hopefully find what you are looking for.
Happy browsing!
